Children are extremely welcome at Jubilee Church. We seek to encourage children of all ages to get to know and grow in God, and to continue being filled with the Holy Spirit.
On Sunday mornings the whole church usually joins together to worship God, and about half an hour into the meeting children aged 0-11 years can go to their own groups. In The Hub, we are enjoying great facilities and brand-new toys.
“As a parent, it’s brilliant having children’s workers who are looking to teach our children about Jesus even from a very young age.” Beccy Clay
Children aged 0-18 months.
Crèche is a space where the smallest children can be taken. Here, new parents will feel at ease with breastfeeding and nappy changing, as well as being encouraged by other parents within the church.
Children aged 18 months – 3 years.
Little Lambs is a structured time of song, craft and play, with a snack time. Every week has a theme taken from a Bible story, and children have a chance to engage with the stories and each other in a fun environment.
“Me: ‘What’s special about Shining Stars?’
Grace (4): ‘We talk to God together!’”
Children aged 3-5 years.
Shining Stars is a time of play, crafts, teaching and prayer, with a snack time. Simple Bible stories are often told with props and drama, before a discussion time. Children then listen to others pray and are gently encouraged in their own prayer. Parents can expect their children to have lots of fun while learning about God and praising Him.
Children of primary school age, 5-11 years (school years 1-6).
We begin our sessions all together with a time of worshipping God, after which we split into two groups to facilitate age-specific teaching. This can include story-telling, drama, games or craft. Impact runs a three year scheme of teaching which covers a wide range of scripture. There is a snack time, and each session ends with the groups gathering back together for a time of prayer and reflection.
