Jubilee Church - Our vision and values...

Jubilee church has taken both its name and its vision from Isaiah 61...

Isaiah 61 v1We are a church that enjoys the grace and new life that God has given us in Jesus Christ and want to make known the year of the Lord's favour to those around us.

We have a series of sermons on membership called

Our Vision

The vision we have for Jubilee Church from God is simple but powerful. We are called to:

Community
We seek to demonstrate the love and family life as shown by the early church in the book of Acts through community

Evangelism
We want to make our faith in Jesus Christ known to those around us. We look to reach out to those locally in Leamington from all ages, and from all ethnic backgrounds. We also want to respond to the great commission, planting churches and taking the gospel to the nations of the world

Equipping
We believe that we are called to be more than believers, but to be disciples of Jesus. We put this into practice by discipling one another. We also believe in the importance of training as part of advancing the Kingdom of God

Worship
Most importantly, we are called to be those who know and are passionate about Jesus. We place great emphasis on worship and see the worship of Jesus as the source of all we do.

For people involved at Jubilee church we consider it important for them to become members.  Please contact us if you want more information on membership. We also are committed to the vision of newfrontiers.

Values

We believe the following values need to be emphasised in order to be effective as a group of believers...

A for Anointed
The importance of the Person, power and gifts of the Holy Spirit

B for Biblical
A total conviction that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and must therefore be our source for what we believe and practise in the church

C for Cellular
We want the church to grow as the cellgroups grow and to focus on the cellgroups rather than a central meeting, ministry or building. We believe that the cellgroups are for effective evangelism and for effective pastoring of one another

D for Discipled
We recognise that the great commission of Jesus is for us to go and make disciples. Therefore we want to be those who are both making disciples and being made disciples ourselves.

E for Evangelism
We expect all believers to give themselves to the work of proclaiming the gospel by the power of the Holy Spirit.

F for Friendly
Our evangelism should be friendship based as well as the straightforward proclamation and the church should be marked by love and friendship.

G for Generous
We believe that God wants to change our characters so that they become more like His and that will inevitably include generosity in the giving of our time, energies, gifts and of course our money and possessions

H for Holy
We know that God is preparing a bride for his son and that bride will be spotless and pure. We want to be motivated by our love for him to giving our lives to purity and godliness.

I for International
We have a God-given calling to go to the ends of the earth and we want to see this worked out in practice as we send people and money to other nations with mission and with mercy

J for Jesus
We will give the Lord Jesus the highest place in the church of which he is the head, and the beginning and the end - it is his church and his kingdom and it is all for his glory.
